First, know that God created you with a purpose and He loves you. God's purpose for our lives is to live for Him, but sin has separated us from God. However, God loves us so much that He sent Jesus, His only Son, to die on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins. He took our place and died for us so we could live for Him. Has anyone else ever died for you? Jesus not only died for you, but He also rose from the dead three days later to give us the hope of a new life with God. Forgiveness of sins only comes through Jesus. Jesus is the only way for us to be restored to a right relationship with God and be adopted as His children for all eternity. First, He wants to be your Savior and then become your Lord by you following His commands.
What is sin? It is anything that displeases God or the breaking of His commandments. So how do you become a Christian?

Admit
Confess to God you are a sinner. Repent, turning away from your sin.
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We are not perfect and we have missed God's target in our lives.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." We will die because of our sins and if we do not accept God's gift, then we will be separated from God for eternity. The Bible calls that place Hell, but we do not have to go there.
Acts 3:19 "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." Much comfort and times of refreshing will come when you turn from our sins and accept God's gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus.
1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." We just have to admit we are a sinner and repent of our sins.
Believe
Place your faith in Jesus as God’s Son and accept Jesus’ gift of forgiveness from sin.
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." God did not wait for us to get good enough then accept us into His family, but He sent us help even when we did not deserve it.
Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Jesus is the only way to heaven and a right relationship with God.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." You do not have to die in your sins. Jesus has already paid the price of death for your sins so you can live. You just have to accept the gift God has given to you.
John 14:6 "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'." Jesus is the only way. Any other way people say is the way to heaven is not the truth and will end in death, not life. Do you want to live forever with God?
Commit
Surrender your life to Christ. Ask Him to be your Savior and Lord.
Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." That is a promise that God makes to you. How do you like that promise? Guess what, He never breaks His promises.
Romans 10:13 "for, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved'." If you will repent of your sins to accept Jesus as your Savior, He will also become Lord of your life. Just call on His name.
Luke 9:23 "Then He said to them all, 'If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me'." Jesus said that to be a Christian or a follower of Christ, it takes commitment.
Are you ready to make that commitment to God? He has already made a commitment to you and has paid the price for your sin. Follow the ABCs to receive His great gift of salvation. A Simple Prayer
Dear God, I know I am a sinner and have broken your commandments. I believe You sent Jesus to die for my sin and only through faith in His death and resurrection can I be forgiven. I want to turn from my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. Give me a new life and help me, through your Holy Spirit, to follow Jesus' example in my life, because I cannot save myself. From this day on, I want to follow You. Thank You for loving and forgiving me. I pray in the name of Jesus, my Savior & my Lord. Amen!
